Local flora and fauna are used to bring awareness, color, and movement to the design, such as the Blue Heron, Purple Passionflower, or the mighty Dragonfly. Visitors are asked to try and find these and more within Phinizy.

Compared to the drawing, the final result is very different. This is due to the artwork moving from outside to inside the nature park. Originally, it was meant for patrons to enjoy while driving along a scenic parkway nearby. Simple colors that represented the flora and fauna without distracting drivers. When moved inside, visitors would now stop and be up close and personal with the artwork. Inspecting all its parts, taking selfies or other photos. The basic colors no longer applied. The artwork needed more! More lines, colors, movement, variation and other attributes we found to be necessary and fun. The end result we believe is absolutely better than what was proposed.
